What data we collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to run this site and respond to the people who contact us. In practice that means three categories:
- Server logs. When you load a page, our hosting provider records your IP address, browser user agent, the URL you requested, and the timestamp of the request. These logs are kept for up to 14 days for security and abuse prevention and are not linked to any other data.
- Contact form submissions. If you use the contact form, we receive the information you choose to enter: your name, email address, the reason you're contacting us, and the content of your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry.
- Analytics — only with your consent. If you accept the Analytics category in our cookie banner, we load a privacy-respecting analytics tool that records anonymised page views and traffic sources. If you decline, no analytics are loaded. Ever.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR Art. 6)
- Server logs: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — operating and securing the site.
- Contact form: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — you chose to contact us — or pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Analytics: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — only if you opt in via the cookie banner.
Where your data goes
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. on its global edge network, under a GDPR data-processing agreement in which Cloudflare acts as our processor and does not use site data for its own purposes. Because Cloudflare is US-headquartered and operates a global edge, page requests may be served from — and technical data such as IP addresses in server logs may be processed in — the United States and other countries; these transfers rely on Cloudflare's EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. A full list of our providers is available in our sub-processor register, on request.
This is our public website; it does not process client or regulated data. Client engagements run on the ARK platform, where — depending on tier — data can stay entirely on infrastructure you control and is never fed to a third-party AI model.
Contact form messages generate an email notification sent to contact@thoth-intelligence.com. That mailbox is provided by Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited) under a data-processing agreement.
Retention
- Server logs: up to 14 days, then automatically deleted.
- Contact form submissions: retained until the conversation with you is complete, plus a reasonable administrative period (typically no more than 12 months for general enquiries, longer for ongoing commercial discussions at your request).
- Analytics data: retained according to the analytics provider's retention policy — typically 14 months.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port the personal data we hold about you, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@thoth-intelligence.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Germany, that's the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz of your state of residence.
Cookies
We set no cookies except those strictly necessary to remember your cookie-banner choice. Analytics and marketing cookies are loaded only after you accept the relevant category in the banner at the bottom of this page. You can change your choice at any time by returning to this site and editing it there.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to how we process personal data, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, where we have your contact information and the change is significant, notify you by email.
